Back to the dining table

Category : Stuff

After spending an entire weekend sitting at my dining table I have discovered something very important – a dining chair is not a good chair to sit in for hours. Not only did I have a rather dull weekend of doing accounts and other admin, but I also managed to get myself a rather sore back. Thankfully Declan is in town today so I can get it all sorted out (and coo over his new daughter at the same time).

It wasn’t all bad, I did manage to start on my oil painting and make some pumpkin soup, which was supposed to be my lunch – naturally it’s sitting in my fridge so guess what’s for dinner!

Bill Martin’s Guide to Oil Painting

Category : Stuff

I stumbled across this site while looking for information about different oil mediums and was immediately impressed by just how comprehensive it is. Bill Martin offers free online oil painting lessons, tips and instruction to guide beginning artists in learning beginning oil painting techniques and purchasing art supplies. I figured I’d share it in case anyone reading this is interested in oil painting :)
