Wandong Bushfires

Photos 1 - 4 out of 4 | Back to Albums
We used to walk the dogs through this and it was so lush. The fence at the bottom is the front of Gary's mum's place - this one shows just how close the fires got to her place. She was lucky, 200 houses were destroyed and 4 people lost their lives. It's amazing that there are leaves still here although they're like paper.
A typical water storage tank which shows how hot it got. They're made out of a very tough fire-retardant plastic.
