Dump IE6 and Microsoft will give food to the hungry

Microsoft has just announced that they will provide 16 meals for starving Americans if users upgrade their browsing experience from Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 8.

During Hunger Action month, they will give 16 meals to help the 36 million Americans struggling with hunger for each person that downloads IE8 through their site.

So it seems as though it’s not just web developers that are trying to rid the world of IE6 after all. If you’ve been holding off upgrading, now is clearly the time to do so. Well done Microsoft!
