Lunar Eclipse

What a fabulous sight! Last night we had a total lunar eclipse and for the first time in my life it was a) happening at a time when I would be awake and b) happening in a clear sky.

The sky was completely clear, in fact we’d just had a beautiful day of blue skies and sunshine. It was very cold tho, so I was popping outside every 15 mins to get a look at how it was progressing – good thing that a lunar eclipse is so slow!

Unfortunately I didn’t have the equipment to photograph it, I would have needed a telescope to get more than a fuzzy dot so this pic is from someone with a little more stuff.

And it looks as though I was very lucky – was woken this morning by howling storms!

  1. Great photo,,,, it was all over but the time the moon was high enough in the sky to see way over here in California…..

  2. Apparently it was seen everywhere except East Coast Australia!! What luck to have a lovely clear day for it. And you didn’t have to travel 1000 or so k’s for it like you did for the Solar eclipse.

Tell me what you think
